Have been confirmed in recent days, rumors about the consumption of the new netbook and notebook(IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad x61 tablet battery) platforms based on Atom Trail. The main information concerning the lack of active heat dissipation system and also about reducing consumption, but we see some more detail . Intel products low cost and low consumption for netbooks, laptops(Thinkpad x300 battery) and PCs All-In -One has provided the platform known by the codename “Pine Trail“.

Tables unofficial common online version is Intel -M Pine Trail (a variant of Pine Trail for Netbooks ) will be characterized by the thermal design power ( TDP ), only 7 watts, compared to 16 watts of current spread in the Netbook(Toshiba Satellite A200 battery) platform of series equipped with Intel Atom Diamondville processor .

So significant reduction in consumption ancle the size of new mother board will be small to allow the integration of IGP graphics controller with the processor system on a chip ( SoC ) Intel Pineview . There will be no more ‘ fan for heat dissipation to save space by increasing performance. These data are unofficial, but seem to be almost certain given the ” compatibility ” with those previously disclosed.

The new platform provided by Intel should reduce consumption by 50 % compared to the Atom platform in 2008. will be considerable, from Intel , including savings in production costs . Intel today confirmed that the new Intel Atom N450 (Single- Core Mobile), Intel Atom D410 (Single- Core Fixed ) and Intel Atom D510 (Dual – Core Fixed ) to 1.66GHz frequency still will not guarantee superior performance to current . Intel will Pine Trail in May 2010 and as expected the performance will be far superior to the existing platforms . The new products will still have (according to rumors ) are fully compatible with previous products.
